B2.7 Anonymization/pseudo-anonymization engine
The development of an anonymisation engine is planned to ensure the (pseudo)anonymisation of data ingested or exported by the Data Space. Taking into account the state of the art in (pseudo)anonymisation, the engine should implement a set of functionalities to facilitate data sharing and analysis in Data Space environments—for example, enabling mechanisms that support the application of Federated Learning solutions. The engine should also be built in a modular way to allow its use in ad hoc (pseudo)anonymisation (e.g., research projects), continuous (pseudo)anonymisation (e.g., biobanks), or as a plugin for the source system (for anonymisation at source). Finally, it must be capable of handling different types of data, both structured and unstructured. This product will be used in (pseudo)anonymisation pipelines aimed at removing or replacing (in the case of pseudonyms) identifying and sensitive data, helping to comply with applicable legislation (for example, the GDPR).
